Beartooth Highway, Montana and Wyoming

We took the scenic route from the Black Hills, South Dakota, to Yellowstone National Park. This involved driving northwest through Wyoming to Montana, spending the night in Billings, and then driving southwest back into Wyoming, to Yellowstone. One of the most scenic drives in the US, I would say it is worth it to take this route of switchbacks, for the amazing views of the Beartooth and Absaroka ranges, beautiful glacial lakes, and high alpine plateaus. The route’s highest point is 10,947 feet. Here are some photos from the drive.
