Odd Volumes – Yale University Art Gallery’s 2014 Book Arts Exhibition

In November I visited the Yale University Art Gallery In New Haven, CT, to see “Odd Volumes”, a book art exhibition. The Gallery is really a museum, with four floors and an impressive collection. You could spend a whole day there. On this visit we focused on “Odd Volumes”. The show explored the many forms that a book can take. There were a lot of altered books in the exhibition, but also some pieces made from new or found materials. Below is a selection of some of my favorite pieces. I especially enjoyed seeing a piece by Yoko Ono in person.
