Views From Another World (2021)

These drawings were all made using homemade inks from different sources, including hazelnuts, red wine, onion skins, acorns, and black walnuts. The black part of the drawing is store-bought India ink and (on some of the drawings) charcoal, and the moons and foreground are all my homemade inks. There is so much interesting detail to see when you look closely. I find it endlessly fascinating to watch how the different inks move around on the page and interact with each other while they’re wet, and to see how they settle on the paper after they have dried.
